Question #1 – Where did you first hear or learn of the term Affiliate Marketing (or Online Marketing, Digital Marketing, etc.)? I first heard about affiliate marketing online when I was looking for opportunities to work anywhere else in the world as I love travelling.

Question # 2 – What sparked your interest in learning more about affiliate marketing and how to profit from it? Similarly to Question 1, I like affiliate marketing as it has an unlimited earning potential and it allows people to generate income from home. I love the flexibility and freedom that it offers to those who are sick of working nine-to-five job.

Question #3 – Did you research various affiliate marketing schools and educational courses prior to selecting your school, or did you simply choose your school based off of a friend’s referral to you, or did you find your school by way of an advertisement of some sort? I did a lot of research and I found one through an amazing blog who outlined all the benefits of an affiliate marketing program.

Question #4 – What is the NAME (not the website link, just the name) of the affiliate marketing courses, school or Univeristy that you chose to attend? Wealthy Affiliate.

Question #5 – How long were you an active participating student member?
It has been 7 months since I joined the program.

Question #6 – Did you complete ALL courses provided through your affiliate marketing school?
Yes, I managed to complete all courses. However, there are new tutorials and training being updated everyday. I am still enjoying the training until today.

Question #7 – Whats your opinion about the school and/or courses you attended and completed?
It is an amazing program and I am amazed by the proven template that is offered by WA. The training is definitely useful and it works!

Question #8 – What was your actual results, experiences, failures, progress, expenses, successes, knowledge gained, Money Earned, etc. from taking these courses from the school you attended? This is where you get to tell the PROS & the CONS of your experience with the school you attended! So let it all out, we want to hear the good and the bad!
I have very good experience with WA, and the fee is relatively low as compared to many other affiliate marketing programs in the market. I am extremely happy with the traffic that I have managed to generate. Thanks to WA, I have made some recurring commissions from my site. To be honest, I don’t see any Cons about WA. I can hardly find one to complain about it.

Question #9 – Are you still an active participating student or member of the affiliate marketing school you attended?

Question #10 – (Last Question) – Would you recommend the school / training courses you attended and completed to others, or not?

Question #1 – Where did you first hear or learn of the term Affiliate Marketing (or Online Marketing, Digital Marketing, etc.)?
If my memory serves me well, the first time I heard this term was while reading a LinkedIn article.

Question # 2 – What sparked your interest in learning more about affiliate marketing and how to profit from it?
I was already quite active online. I would leave comments on news articles and occasionally write down my opinions on various subjects and post to social media. When I learned about affiliate marketing, I figured, “why not make money doing what I already do and enjoy?” So, here I am.

Question #3 – Did you research various affiliate marketing schools and educational courses prior to selecting your school, or did you simply choose your school based off of a friend’s referral to you, or did you find your school by way of an advertisement of some sort?
I looked around at a few, however, I didn’t see anything that actually taught the details of how affiliate marketing works. I saw a LinkedIn post about WA, and after my first few lessons at WA, I selected WA as my teacher.

Question #4 – What is the NAME (not the website link, just the name) of the affiliate marketing courses, school or Univeristy that you chose to attend?
    Wealthy Affiliate.

Question #5 – How long were you an active participating student member?
I started about five months ago and have never stopped.

Question #6 – Did you complete ALL courses provided through your affiliate marketing school?
Yes, I completed all formal courses.

Question #7 – Whats your opinion about the school and/or courses you attended and completed?
The courses were great. I learned how to properly develop and promote content online.

At first, I thought this could be a nice opportunity to generate lots of referrals to the program I selected, however, I quickly realized that generating referrals was not something I enjoyed doing and despite my efforts, I just was not good at referral generation. I decided that I would do best writing about what I study. I enjoy math and physics, and other natural science topics. I began writing down my thoughts and ideas and knew that this could be lots of fun. So, that’s what I do. When interesting thoughts come to mind, I write them down and post to my web site. In the beginning, I was so focused on earning money, that I soon was stressed out and not enjoying myself at all. I’ve since relaxed and focused on the knowledge that is interesting to me. Gaining knowledge and writing about that knowledge led me to making some actual money. The only expense I’ve incurred is the hosting fee, however, this is covered by my subscription to the WA program. After five months, I now feel quite comfortable in what I am doing and I hope to continue this journey as long as I can.

Question #9 – Are you still an active participating student or member of the affiliate marketing school you attended?
Yes. I am still very active.

Question #10 – (Last Question) – Would you recommend the school / training courses you attended and completed to others, or not?
I would definitely recommend my training program to others.

I really like how you tell us about the fact that you were first only focused on “the money” and that you quickly learned that you were not enjoying your online business because of that fact, so then you turned towards working on and focusing on your passion which not only led to a higher level of satisfaction for yourself and your online business but also led to some “organic sales and profits” for you as well.

I am so happy for you and your new venture!

If there’s ever anything I can do to help you along your online business journey, please do not hesitate to ask, I and will always to my best for you!

Question #1 – Where did you first hear or learn of the term Affiliate Marketing (or Online Marketing, Digital Marketing, etc.)? Internet search. When I started to learn about how to make money online I realized it was a good way to start without needing lots of money or products.

Question # 2 – What sparked your interest in learning more about affiliate marketing and how to profit from it? The fact that coming from an eBay seller, I understood that I could sell products others have listed, and get a commission without ever touching the product, shipping it or stocking it.

Question #3 – Did you research various affiliate marketing schools and educational courses prior to selecting your school, or did you simply choose your school based off of a friend’s referral to you, or did you find your school by way of an advertisement of some sort? I ran into a member that was here. Steve. I landed on his website under how to make money and building a website. He was a WA member and has been for 4 years.

Question #4 – What is the NAME (not the website link, just the name) of the affiliate marketing courses, school or University that you chose to attend? Wealthy Affiliate.

Question #5 – How long were you an active participating student member? I’m still a growing member after two years. We never learn everything there is to know as information and knowledge of internet marketing and its strategies changed with time. Even guru’s spend thousands each year on brushing up and relearning new ways that are working today.

Question #6 – Did you complete ALL courses provided through your affiliate marketing school? Yes. I even went back through took the course a second time to be sure I would retain the information and be able to use it.

Question #7 – Whats your opinion about the school and/or courses you attended and completed? The Wealthy Affiliate allowed me to make money for the very first time, build my own websites, and learn to market as a professional. We need to be skilled at marketing, and if someone does not really know what all is involved, they will have very little success outside learning this information, first.

Question #9 – Are you still an active participating student or member of the affiliate marketing school you attended? I’m an active participant, yes. I help hundreds of newbies find the training I got that changed my own success here on the internet… So they can bypass the failure curve I went through trying other things.

Question #10 – (Last Question) – Would you recommend the school / training courses you attended and completed to others, or not? I’m the first to recommend my training course to others based on my own proven success and financial increase. I now have my own student membership site and help others learn the art of niche site marketing. Thanks to the Wealthy Affiliate training I got back in 2013.

    Q1. Honestly I don’t even remember
Q2. an online article, which In hindsight, I’m sure it was probably a Review about Wealthy Affiliates
Q3. I was researching work from home jobs and what drew me in was that it was hard to believe they gave
    Q4. Wealthy Affiliate
Q5. I have been with them for 8 months and continue to be a Premium member.
Q6. I finished all the basic courses, but there is tons of more training on the site of which I will spend the rest of my years going thru.
Q7. Extremely valuable in so many ways: the community, the mentors, the fast replys when you need help, just amazing
Q8. I have not made as much money as I would have liked to see at this point, but I still believe in the program. I did a few things early on that set me back though.
It’s hard to tell someone how much I’ve learned, I’d be talking for several hours. To be able to build a website from the ground up is great. But actually seeing how well its planned, laid out and put together is so rewarding. I could not have done it without the amazingly helpful people in the community, the available training and the webinars.
I can’t really say there are any cons about Wealthy Affiliate except that being out of work and having (more like needing or wanting) to pay almost $50/mo for a membership was very difficult for me to do.
Q9. Yes, I’m still an active premium member in good standing
Q10. I would absolutely recommend Wealthy Affiliate to others ,because I don’t feel there is any training or community that could be better

    • Jeremy Wilson Post author

    1. I first read about it when I was looking for some online business, So I did some research on google. Then I was trying to see which one of these websites are scams. Scamxposer was my first source of information and then I got interested to see how this WealthyAffiliate works. Then I searched more information on that and, of course, got some idea about the affiliate program as well.
    2. Well at the beginning it was just about how to make money by promoting products, but then I understand you can share your thoughts on the subject you like the most. so somehow you do research on something you like and let people know about it. If there are some services or products that you find interesting and helpful you can do a review (not just the positive aspects of it) on it. Then If people find it useful they will buy it as well.
    3. That would be my first try and my first school on this matter.
    4. Wealthy Affiliate.com
    5. it’s been 22 days.
    6. I finished the initial courses (which I think is around 50). But there are like 100s of video training and blogs on different aspects of affiliate marketing
    7. Well, the information presented on courses are great and because I’m new to the business, sometimes I find it hard to implement what I learned into my website. The good part of this website is its active community so whenever I stuck in something I can ask for help and normally you get your answer within an hour.
8.I think I’m still in learning phase, but I feel I got a lot of good experience about how you can build a website and turn it to a business.
    9. yes, I just got here, I’m not going away so soon
    10. Oh yeah, if you want to get rich in 1 month, of course, this is not the way.It takes a lot of effort and time. I can’t guaranty you would earn a lot of money (yet) but gaining experience in making a website and learning about affiliate marketing make it worth to invest.
Hope my short answers would be useful
    Cheers

Welcome back to #FiredOrDenied Jagulba, it’s great to see you again!

That is one amazing story you have there, and did I read that right…you’ve only been taking affiliate marketing training for just 22 days now and you already have your own website built, hosted and getting Google rankings? That’s awesome! You must be working really hard…which is what it takes! Keep learning and applying all you can and remember that consistency and helpful, relatable content is a key factor in your success. I’m really impressed by your efforts and your progress!

Your last statement there is so true also. Affiliate Marketing is definitely NOT a “get rich quick scheme” and should be approached in the same aspect as starting a regular brick and mortar business, knowing that you’re either going to have to invest time, or money, or both and then work hard and your rewards will come, they just will not be immediate or instant rewards for most people. Now I’m not saying that some people don’t just luck out and start making money super fast, because that does happen every now and then….but for the majority, it takes time, but if you never quit and you continue learning and applying the lessons you learn, one day it will eventually pay off…and for many folks, it pays of big…so the rewards can be extremely better than what a job could ever reward you with.

Thanks again for stopping by and participating in this comment thread! Please forward this questionnaire on to others you may know that are taking any kind of affiliate marketing courses and ask them to participate in this as well. The more feedback from more people we get, the better resource this will be for people all over the world! 🙂

      Make it a Great Day!

      All The Best,
      Jeremy David Wilson

    1. I first heard about the term through a google search. I was trying to find other ways to make money to help support my family during my job’s slow season, and stumbled upon a review site. The site talked about a couple different ways to earn money online, but debunked many of them as scams or pyramid schemes. I was interested to see if any of the sites mentioned were given a positive review, so I kept searching…then I found a site called “Wealthy Affiliate”, and, curious, looked up the term “Affiliate”.
    2. After I found out what the term meant, I realized that I could post articles on my favorite hobby, write honestly, and promote products that relate to my hobby without being a spammer or a really obvious promotion site, and I was ecstatic…I could do something I like, and get paid for it? That’s my dream!
    3. I actually found many different self-proclaimed “schools” that offered very similar-sounding courses and wild claims of “earn thousands of dollars online in a week” and other such nonsense. Only a few seemed to have any validity, so I did more research on those, trying to find both good reviews, and bad reviews of those sites, and found out that many of the legitimate sites actually had very mixed reviews once I looked on other, less biased sites than the main site (I mean, it makes sense that the main sites would only post the good reviews, right?)
    4. After researching for a good bit, I found a site that seemed the most promising out of all of the other sites, which, ironically, was the first site I found that introduced me to the term “affiliate”. That site was Wealthy Affiliate.
    5. I am still currently going through the very in-depth course they offer there, and I have been there for about two weeks now.
    6. I haven’t completed every single course offered there yet…there are probably hundreds of supplemental articles published by other members offering tutorials on how to promote your site even better, or add more customization, or fix issues, so it will take a long time.
    7. I personally think it’s an amazing program…you get tons of support from live chat, personal messages from time to time from a few of the bigwigs on the site, tons of support from other people striving to make it in the online business industry, and lots of feedback from everyone to help you improve. Everyone there, for the most part, are very, very friendly and very happy to help, and although the massive amount of information you get on the site is pretty overwhelming, the massive amount of information also allows you to make a very nice-looking website very quickly…I personally got one of my pages on the front page of google within the first week, and even got some organic traffic by the second week (this week), so it’s definitely looking up for me!
    8. There are a lot of pros, but its going to be hard for me to find cons…regardless, here we go!
    pros:
    tons of help
    very in-depth articles
    live chat service
mini-social networking system where you can follow people and they can follow you back
ranking system that gives you rewards for being an active member of the community
    it works
    it’s free (to an extent!)

    Cons:
it takes a LONG time to really start making sufficient income
you have to spend money to really get access to EVERYTHING
the free version of their service is very bare-bones, although you get a week-long free trial of premium.
it costs a bit more money to host your own domain, although its only 10 dollars a year
it costs a bit more money to search up keywords for keyword-targeted posts from jaxxy, and the keyword tool at the site is kind of obtuse.
its a heck of a lot of hard work

I personally have found a lot of success over at WA…I already got a page or two on the front page of google, I have organic traffic already, I have returning guests, and, before long, I should be able to make my first dollar. I have had my share of difficulties, mostly with my wildly-fluctuating traffic (I don’t have a steady stream of traffic, and just when it seems to reach a new height, it drops just as suddenly for no reason), but I’ve risen to a pretty high rank at WA and my site has already gained a bit of traction. Given time, google will trust it more and it will become even more popular!
    9. yes, i still am. I see no reason to quit just yet.
    10. I would recommend this program, but only to people who are willing to put a lot of time and effort into their work. This is not a get rich quick scheme, it is starting up your own business. This is not for those who need money FAST…if you need money fast, you are in dire straits and need to get help of a different sort. This is for those who want to make money at home, perhaps eventually quit their conventional job, and want to do the things they love and get paid for it.

Hope this serves as a good testimony to the program I’m a part of, and I hope to see you all over at WA!

      Hello Conner,

WOW! You are by far the best participant so far in answering these questions to a “T”…thank you so much for taking the time to contribute to this resource, which will eventually be seen by thousands of people across the globe of whom are searching for answers (just like yours) when trying to decide which affiliate marketing university, school, course or program to take or join. You’re a trooper! 🙂

By reading your answers, it sounds as though you have already gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of the program that Wealthy Affiliate offers…and a HUGE CONGRATS TO YOU for getting your website and your content ranked on Googles front page! That’s awesome my friend! Oh, and congrats on your Organic Traffic to your site as well….that is an amazing accomplishment!!!

So do you have any questions for me at this time?

Also, do you know anybody that is also in Wealthy Affiliate and/or Any Other Affiliate Marketing Program that would be willing to participate in this questionnaire as well? If so, could you forward it to them and ask them to leave their answers in the comment box below just like you did?

I ask because the more answers we get here from real people and the more affiliate schools, universities, courses or programs that are mentioned here, will be a huge help to people that are trying to decipher the differences between them all without having to go through tons of searches online and read through a crazy amount of websites just to find the answers they are looking for….because the answers will be HERE!

Thanks again for being so thorough and if there’s ever anything I can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask and I’ll do my best to get you answers within 24 to 48 hours or earlier.

      HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I had heard of affiliate marketing, from a post I had read on a website for woman, I then started doing some research there is a lot of information out there could say a overload. As with any people on the same quest I got caught out by a few scams luckily not too costly. I narrowed it down in the end to two programs The Chris Farrell membership and Wealthy Affiliate, I weighed them up carefully and I felt Wealthy Affiliate had the edge seemed more current, though Chris Farrell is successful and what he does and it is legit. I have been digesting everything I can about affiliate marketing, website building and so much more will be learning in the afterlife. I am still an active member in Wealthy Affiliate and have been with them over eighteen months and I feel like I have graduated, with the online world there is always changes so we need to be keeping our finger on the pulse so to speak, and I would most certainly recommend Wealthy Affiliate to anyone serious about working hard at this, like all new ventures it takes nurturing , dedication and patience to get it up and running. There is so much to learn it can feel overwhelming at times.

      Hello Katie,

That’s a really great story you have, I’m so glad you chose to stop by and share it with all of us…so Thank you very much for participating in my questionnaire here at FiredOrDenied.com!

I agree with you about the “information overload” that is out there on the internet today, and that is one of the main reasons I put this questionnaire out there for ANYBODY & EVERBODY that has ever taken an “Affiliate Marketing Course” of ANYKIND and from ANY COMPANY simply because I desire to provide a True Resource to folks that are in the “searching stage” of trying to find a good, solid affiliate marketing school in hopes that the answers from people around the world that will be listed here (over time) will help them “weed through all of that overwhelming information overload” that’s on the world wide web today.

In other words, my hopes for this article questionnaire is that it will eventually grow into a “One-Stop-Resource” for anybody needing any advice or information on any affiliate marketing school, course or program that’s available out there today and to help them make the best and most educated decisions possible for themselves.

Thanks again for sharing and please check back in with us from time to time and update us on your progress…the readers will want to know! 🙂

      HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
      Jeremy David Wilson

PS…..If you know anybody else that is a student/member at any affiliate marketing school (or has been in the past), will you please forward this questionnaire to them and ask them to contribute as well? Thank you in advance!
